Kelda Spangenberg Memorial

Parc Tournay-Solvay Park, Brussels

The path up towards the vegetable garden at the back of Tournay-Solvay park.

Tournay-Solvay Park, near the Boitsfort rail station, is one of the nicest green spaces of Brussels. At one end of it, near the forest, is a vegetable garden, a place specially liked by a young lady today missing and to whom her family and friends wished to make a place of remembrance.

The Spangenberg family asked Therese Chotteau to design a memorial for her, in a place of rest and meditation.

The design of the surroundings is the resukt of a collaboration between the sculptor and architect Thierry Gonze.
