During the 60's progressist architects like Candilis and Woods promoted a typically muslim form of habitation. But aren't stylistic préferences more social than ethnic ? There seems to be an algerian architectural style typical of the middle class and the industrial developement : leaving the urban network and opting for the isolated villa, and a rhetorical expression of matter through color.
