Competition 'Les Portes de Bruxelles'

Ideas competition for 'Les Portes de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale'. Ten sites were proposed where a symbolisation of the entrance in the city would be set up. We choose a place, between city and forest, on the Waterloo highway in Uccle.

Our proposal was a rather litteral gate, with 3-D figures on the sides, calling to mind the gates and park ornaments of the XVIII century, with a special scale impact : the figures would be 80 feet high.
